The first diving knives were worn on the belt. It was Georges BEUCHAT who had the idea of inventing a sheath to wear it on the calf. Since then, the knife has migrated almost everywhere on the diver to the point of disappearing even from the diver's equipment! A shame when you know that it is the diver's first safety tool.
